Rebranding and Repositioning

We were engaged to reposition and rebrand an IT development toolset company as an e-servicing application provider for the financial services industry. This project involved creating a new image for the organisation through PR, collateral and a new dynamic website. The target market was clearly defined into a number of sub-sectors and a programme of targeted communications was initiated to key decision-makers in companies identified within these sectors. We created a series of research studies on e-servicing within these sub-sectors to engage our targets and raise awareness of the client. The result was that in the credit card sector, the client secured customers that managed over 60% of the credit cards in the UK.

New Market Entry

Working for an IT services provider, we were asked to develop the strategy for the company to enter the transportation market in the UK. The company had experience and solutions developed through working with clients in mainland Europe and the Far East. The project involved determining which of these solutions could be delivered in the UK and conducting market research to build an understanding of the market requirements and decision-making structure across the road, rail and air sectors. This research allowed the client to focus on a smaller number of solutions that enabled it to win new business in the rail and air sectors.

Franchising

Growth Works were engaged by a small IT educational services provider to advise on how they could grow their owner-managed business. Their business was built around an innovative teaching methodology based on classroom sessions and e-learning assignments managed through a portal. We provided advice on how the market for e-learning was changing through government initiatives and provided a number of models on how they could capitalise on this trend. We advised the client to adopt a franchising model and provided a plan on how to protect their IPR, package their offer and find franchisees. The project is ongoing.

New Delivery Models

As a Swiss SWIFT software solutions provider, our client wanted to enter the UK market and target organisations that were not already serviced by its long-established UK-based competitors. We developed a business plan with a specialist payments consultancy and an IT services provider to build a bureau based on their software. During the first year, we signed a number of clients from asset managers to hedge funds to overseas banking subsidiaries onto the bureau. We launched a number of high profile events to the target market and helped establish the IT services provider as a SWIFT services provider in the UK leading in turn to a multi-million pound project to replace the entire payments infrastructure for a major bank in the UK.

Strategic Development

Growth Works have been engaged as the interim marketing director for an offshore IT and BPO services provider to provide a clear marketing strategy for the organisation and the marketing and sales plan to act upon it. We reviewed the organisation's current portfolio of solutions, clients, skillsets and strategy through a number of facilitated workshops with senior management based at their Indian head office. A clear and concise strategy was developed and agreed by all parties alongside a measurable action plan to ensure the strategy will be implemented. The role also involves acting as country manager running a sales team based in the UK and India. The project is ongoing.

Marketing and Sales Outsourcing

When our client had a bright idea on how to revolutionise the competition market in the UK, they turned to Growth Works to develop a go-to-market strategy to bring their idea to fruition. We provided an analysis of their target markets including identification of key targets in the media market. Growth Works have subsequently been engaged to build the market positioning for the offer and to take the responsibility for building a sales and marketing team to support the launch in the UK. The project is ongoing.

Growth Works has been engaged by a payments consultancy to deliver a number of marketing communications projects, including new collateral, website content and seminar organisation. With over 10 years experience in marketing IT services to the financial services sector and a broad understanding of the many niche markets within the sector, Growth Works can provide insight and understanding to organisations wishing to enter or grow market share with the Financial Services sector.
